# King Quinque

-Full Title: King Quinque, of the Five Winged Way, Singer of Soothsay, Guide and yet Still Astray

\[Major Recent Developments\]

-King Quinque returned from his pilgrimage, presumably as a fully fledged fivefold champion, as Lady von Tarquinius was launching her incursion on Asterion; he was thus able to rescue Ambassador Lethe from certain death.

-He has stated that the attack on Asterion is an opportunity to launch a fatal attack against Nurgle; the details of this plan can he found [here](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/alpha-priority-the-war-for-asterion/page/the-final-crusade "The Final Crusade").

\[Prior Reports\]

-Harlequin Solitaire—soul gambled between the Laughing God and Sai'lanthresh/Slaanesh, acts the role of the latter in Harlequin plays. It is for this reason that he has bonded with a [Condemnor,](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/artifact-moros-device-condemnor "Artifact: Moros Device (Condemnor)") intending for his soul to be destroyed/consumed, rather than letting it potentially fall into the hands of a chaos god after his death.

[-Anvephone Traquiel's](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/asterion-factions/page/anvephone-traquiel-deceased "Anvephone Traquiel (Deceased)") mysterious mentor; I strongly suspect that he has also given guidance to the Wakes Cognomen line, and perhaps instilled the notion of "crusade" as mentioned by [Sojourner Wakes](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/asterion-factions/page/archmagos-sojourner-wakes-deceased "Archmagos Sojourner Wakes (Deceased)").

-Contacted [Ambassador Lethe](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/grand-ambassador-kelle-jocasta-lethe-traquiel "Grand Ambassador Kelle Jocasta Lethe Traquiel") in a dream, then via an aeldari hard-light hologram. A more permanent connection point has been made via Kelle's [Communior.](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/artifact-philotes-device-communior "Artifact: Philotes Device (Communior)")

-Following the trail and philosophy of the [Asterii](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption "The Asterii/Cinquefoils/Nemesis Xenos [Heavy Encryption]"); is a Third Order Champion, bonded with an [Augmentor](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/artifact-aether-device-augmentor "Artifact: Aether Device (Augmentor)"), [Redressor](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/artifact-nemesis-device-redressor "Artifact: Nemesis Device (Redressor)"), and Condemnor. Seeks to kill a chaos god (Nurgle, Captor of Isha), and wishes us to be allies in this endeavor.

-Wishes to know what is inside, but cannot enter, the [Asterii Cathedral](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/report-exploration-of-the-asterii-cathedral "Report: Exploration of the Asterii Cathedral"); explained that this limitation was due to his own choices, though not what those choices were. Additionally mentioned that there are four Wards in the Cathedral, instead of the expected five. Upon exploration of the Cathedral, a conclusion can be drawn that individuals bearing a Condemnor are held in low esteem by Asterii culture, and not allowed to enter such locations as the Cathedral.

-Gifted us an Augmentor, as proof of goodwill, which has been bonded to [Verity](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/major-verity-st-ardentia "Major Verity St. Ardentia") (note: [Lazarus](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/specialist-lazarus-quint "Specialist Lazarus Quint") was incapable of bonding with the device, indicating that specific protocols must be followed to equip more than one).

-After the exploration of the Asterii Cathedral, we provided King Quinque with a [Voiddelver](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/artifact-nyx-device-voiddelver "Artifact: Nyx Device (Voiddelver)") and a [Communior](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/artifact-philotes-device-communior "Artifact: Philotes Device (Communior)"). He has promised to teach us the initiation rights to become higher order champions ourselves, after he has become a Fifth Order Champion under the supervision of whatever council of entities is currently guiding him along the same path; this is apparently the proper way of doing things.

-Daughter of [Anvephone Traquiel](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/asterion-factions/page/anvephone-traquiel-deceased "Anvephone Traquiel (Deceased)") and another woman who provided the paternal component of genetic material.

-Mutated spontaneously at two weeks of age to have golden eyes, two rows of needle teeth, and some form of Immaterium related abilities. Could only consume raw meat. At some point developed a third eye on her forehead, similar in some regard to a navigator eye.

-Anvephone's [personal logs](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/the-personal-logs-of-anvephone-traquiel "The Personal Logs of Anvephone Traquiel") indicate that Palinea may have been born a Blank, before her changes manifested.

-Remarkable semblance of mutation to an [ancient prophecy](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/major-investigations-heavy-encryption/page/prophecy-of-asterions-salvation "Prophecy of Asterion's Salvation") regarding a fang toothed child who would bring salvation from the forces of chaos to Asterion.

-Was eleven years old at time of initial death, but due to accelerated aging resembled an adult woman very similar in appearance to her mother.

-Kept contact with her mother after vanishing from the palace five years ago; raided meat vats for sustenance; seemingly developed a cult of followers in the lower hive who believed in her divinity.

-Palinea claimed to be a servant of the Emperor, not the forces of the archenemy.

-[Sister Majas](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/asterion-factions/page/sister-famula-advance-laria-maria-fortuna-majas "Sister Laria Majas") sought to kill the mutant scion; KG Co operatives assisted in this assassination to secure an alliance with [House Traquiel](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/asterion-factions/chapter/house-traquiel "House Traquiel"). However, some time after her death, [Specialist Quint ](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/specialist-lazarus-quint "Specialist Lazarus Quint")recovered her perfectly preserved soul from the Immaterium, describing it as having been held by an entity that willingly relinquished it to him. Her soul became housed in a pair of [Servitors ](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/possessed-servitors-the-golden "Assessment: Possessed Servitors")altered with psychic circuitry by [Nepheli Havelock](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/controller-nepheli-havelock "Nepheli Havelock"). Per instructions of [Ambassador Lethe](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/grand-ambassador-kelle-jocasta-lethe-traquiel "Kelle Jocasta Lethe"), these servitors have been dismantled and incinerated; the state of Palinea's soul is unknown, but has possibly returned to its preserved state in the Immaterium.

-Lazarus's affinity for Palinea and the lack of hostile reaction from the [Nemesis Artifact](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/the-asteriicinquefoilsnemesis-xenos-heavy-encryption/page/artifact-nemesis-device-redressor "Artifact: the Nemesis Device") serves as possible evidence that she is not a chaos entity, as the device has previously demonstrated a tendency to violently purge any taint of the archenemy. There is precedent for mutants existing within Imperial Sanction, such as Navigators.

-When prompted with the command "Truth," by Quint via the Nemesis Device, projected a vivid and highly detailed [vision](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/major-investigations-heavy-encryption/page/vision-of-truth "Vision of Truth") of the imminent destruction of Asterion.

-Both she and the Shard were convinced to cooperate with the Keojrah-Glynt Company by [Ambassador Lethe](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/grand-ambassador-kelle-jocasta-lethe-traquiel "Kelle Jocasta Lethe"), and have been secretly moved on board the [*Gilded Comet*](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/keojrah-glynt-assets/page/the-gilded-comet "The Gilded Comet"), where they presumably remain.
