-Silensia views the Shard as her child and is set upon aiding it in its quest for understanding, as well as protecting it from destruction. She and a now dead co-conspirator were responsible for extracting and injecting the needles of the Shard that caused the events of the [Norimar Corpse Starch Factory Incident](https://kgco.AspenArkive.com/books/major-investigations-heavy-encryption/page/the-corpse-starch-factory-incident "The Corpse Starch Factory Incident").
